No matter where you are staying; Manteo, Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Duck, Corolla, or even way down south in Hatteras – you are only a short drive from the dock! We dock our boat at the public boat launch under the Washington Baum Bridge (Nags Head causeway) across from Pirate’s Cove on Roanoke Island. This is the prime location for any fishing enthusiast. In just a few short minutes you can head north to the Currituck Sound or head south to the Pamilco Sound. It is these places you will find some of the finest fishing that the East Coast North Carolina has to offer.
Uptick Charters is a family oriented Outer Banks Fishing Charter. Our charters are built around family and friends, keeping it fun and affordable.
Great for kids, families & experienced fishermen alike!
OBX Sound Fishing Charters
Sound fishing charters are low-impact, family-friendly fishing trips that take place in mostly shallow waters off the coast. Most sounds are only about six feet deep but can go as far as twenty feet in some areas. The water in the sound is also calm, making sound fishing charters an excellent option for those who want to avoid becoming seasick.
Sound fishing yields different fish species depending on the time of year you go on a sound fishing charter. Sound Fishing in the Summer is a great time to catch Redfish, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, and Tarpon. The warm temperature of the ocean water helps encourage fish to come closer to the surface, as well, meaning you might have a better chance at reeling in big game.
No matter what time of year you take your sound fishing charter, you can count on a fun and memorable experience for the whole family.
